Selected Work
I help people tell the stories they want to tell.
I grew up across Rwanda, South Kivu, and Burundi, landscapes that taught me early that images carry human stories even when no one is visible.
A hill at dusk holds a farmer and his cattle.
A coastline holds a fisherman and playing children.
A wet city street at night holds everyone trying to get home.
I look for the emotional anchor of the frame.
At 15 my parents moved us to Belgium.
I brought my wondering eyes with me.
I am half Rwandan, half Belgian, entirely somewhere in between and I’ve stopped pretending that’s not exactly what makes me useful behind a camera.
I see in multiple registers because I’ve lived in multiple worlds.
I see in oblique light and hard noon sun equally.
I work in French, English and Portuguese.
I’m based in Brussels. I go where the story is.
